Thanksgiving Feeding 2019 The Keturah Hamilton Foundation celebrated our 5th annual Thanksgiving feeding on November 22, 2019. Feeding took place downtown LA at Skidrow. Thanksgiving is a time of giving, love, sharing , eggnog drinking and craving of the turkey. We fed approximately five hundred people, and spread love and cheers with the gift of warm blankets and gift bags with all sorts of goodies!! The appreciation from the less fortunate was overwhelming and contagious. No matter the circumstances they were full of joy and life. It wouldn't have been possible without our committed volunteers, and continuous sponsors. Haiti 2015 Back To School Giveaway The Keturah Hamilton Foundation hosted a hundred and two children in Haiti at By The Sea Restaurant Hotel on Friday August 14, 2015. The beautiful, well mannered boys and girls were accompanied by their principal and parents. The children sat attentively with such innocence and hunger for a life of normalcy. The strength they possessed was breathtaking and an inspiration to me and everyone involved. After refreshments were served, the boys and girls lined up and received their school supplies and other goodies from our dedicated volunteers. Despite all the devastation these children have experienced, their eyes were still full of love and hope. Sligoville All Age School Fundraiser The Keturah Hamilton Foundation is a proud sponsor in the developing stages to restore a better structure and playground for the Sligoville All Age School. The KHF donated $79,300 (JD) on April 5, 2017. We will continue to fundraise to help with the development of the school, focusing on improving the children's academic level.
