Numbers don’t capture everything but they tell part of the story. Here’s what 10 years of showing up looks like.
From our first community feeding in 2015 to rebuilding a school in Nigeria today here is how we’ve grown.
The Keturah Hamilton Foundation is incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Los Angeles, California. Our first annual Thanksgiving Feeding program launches, serving hundreds of families in the community.
We expand with Easter feeding events, our inaugural Back to School Giveaway programs in Jamaica and Haiti, and launch "Save Feet; Save a Dream" providing footwear to children so they can attend school.
The KHF & Shayla Michelle Annual Scholarship is established. Our first recipient, Victoria Johnese, a foster child studying Graphic Design in San Francisco, receives the award. In 2019, Ibe Rose in Nigeria is awarded our second scholarship.
Despite COVID-19, we continue our Back to School Giveaways, annual Thanksgiving Feeding programs, and community causes including Hoops For A Cause, Boxing For A Cause, and T-Shirts For A Cause fundraisers.
We respond to Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica with emergency relief. We host a Black Tie Gala in November 2025 to launch our most ambitious project to date: the complete rebuilding of ADC Grammar School in Nigeria, giving hundreds of children a safe place to learn.
The ADC Grammar School rebuilding project continues. Scholarship applications are open worldwide. Our Pre-Valentine's Omakase fundraiser event raises funds for Nigeria. The foundation is more active than ever and we're just getting started.
